Always loud music when you just walk by and want some quiet. You never smell food and finally leave the fountain on for longer than 10 minutes in summer

Very good food, nice, friendly staff and price / performance ratio is also perfectly fine. I can only recommend it. Have been here several times now with a mixed number of groups and there have never been any problems with the catering.

The food was super fresh. Pleasant atmosphere.

As many have written before me, there is a little bit of everything, we had gyros with rice. The portion itself was small for the price and the taste was okay. The ladies from the service were very nice and courteous but overwhelmed, we waited 25 minutes for the bill and the restaurant was half full.

The food was very good and plentiful. My king prawns were cooked to perfection. Only the red wine was a bit unpleasant afterwards.

Italian Greek with home cooking! Yes, that's how you could describe the food you get there. If you are traveling in a large group that cannot choose between Italian, Greek or German cuisine, the Old Barracks is probably the number 1 destination - because there is probably the right kitchen for everyone who eats. You really can't complain about the taste, even if one or the other restaurant, which only has a kitchen in its program, tastes a little better. A plus point of the "old barracks" is the large amount of space, which enables larger celebrations. The wait staff and owners are nice and accommodating.

Food was actually okay. But in terms of taste and quantity, there is more performance for the money with a normal Greek in Amberg. In terms of price, the old barracks were not cheaper than the competition - so prefer to be a "real" Greek

I am totally enthusiastic about the host couple, they are just happy about every guest who visits them. The food is really plentiful and tastes great too. Looking forward to next time ...

We were stationed here from 1988-1991 when it was Pond Barracks. Germany is a beautiful place to explore if you are able to separate the military aspect from the depressing part of the military. Unfortunately we were to broke to travel because the military pay is lousy and bad. The only people who benefit from military partnerships are landlords, stake holders, government contracts for cars, airplanes, medical equipment & government surplus auctions at taxpayer expense.

I went to this restaurant for a large group event for work. This is not a place for large groups! The service was slow and understaffed. It did not offer a buffet but instead brought one of each item from the menu to each table. It cost us 20€ per person without beverages. The location is not near a lot and outside of downtown.
